Robert Sprye is our bass player. Robert's
solid bottom playing and easy personality keep us together and steady.
He has played music in several styles most of his life, which accounts
for his always having a real job on the side.In spite of that he
is constantly sought for his award-winning skills and often found
using them.He loves the chord structures of Western music and the
feel of that Western Swing. Robert is a professional musician whose
interest in bass playing began in school at age twelve. He played
all through middle and high school until someone made him stop and
rest for a minute! He then studied music for three years at UNC-G
.He has played with the Greensboro Orchestra and has shared the
stage with many high-toned pickers and kickers.

Glen Alexander is our fiddle
player, and he can make it smoke! In spite of his youthful appearance,
Glen is a veteran performer , playing all his life, therefore never
gainfully employed. He is well known on the fiddler's contest circuit,
and has won several times as well as judged .Glen is skilled in several
musical styles and may play all of them at once..Glens' love for western
music comes from hours of his Dad's movies and his love for that swing!
Glen teaches and plays full time and is currently spending any spare
time with his wife and new baby girl. His award-winning fiddling skills
are the spark in our recordings and live performances. |

Stewart Robinson is our
accordian and piano man. Stewart's warm voice and keyboard skills
are the core of our sound. Stewart has had several careers and may
have several more.He is a proud veteran who served in Vietnam as a
combat helicopter pilot. He graduated from NC State and has been a
forester, an engineer, an airplane salesman and a general nuiscance. His
interest in music began at an early age and by the time he was eleven
he was a member of the Colombus Boychoir, and performed with Toscanini
at Carnegie Hall. Since then it's been all pretty much downhill. However;
he is not currently on any wanted posters, and so can now be seen
with us at live performances, and enjoyed in our recordings. |

Maxwell Lofland is our lead
singer and guitar player. Looking at his picture you can tell this
man would do anything, and so it stands to reason that he be our ramrod.
Maxwell's love for singing comes from his family, who loved to sing
together. They say the big problem was to get Max to stop singing,
as he seemed to think all restauraunts and grocery stores concert
halls from age two on. Maxwell has performed and recorded a variety
of music styles, but has always been drawn to the stories of the move
west, and the music that has come from it. He has been self employed
for 28 years, raised two daughters, and has been married for an eternity.
His vocal stylings and solid guitar rythyms are the punch to our style. |
